Pickled Mustard Seeds

Did you know you can pickle mustard seeds?

It softens their bitterness and adds an interesting textural element on a charcuterie board or in salads, soups or sandwiches.


Here's my recipe for Pickled Mustard Seeds:

Ingredients:
1/2 C White Wine Vinegar
1/3 C Water
1/3 C Mustard Seed
3 Tbsp Sugar
1/2 Tsp. Salt

Directions:
1. Add vinegar, water, mustard seed, sugar, and salt into a small sauce pan.
2. Bring to simmer over medium heat and reduce heat to low.
3. Simmer for 20 minutes.
4. Cool to room temperature, and add to an airtight container. Keeps for weeks.
