About The Chef

Chef Hallie Norvet is the Head Chef and Founder of Hallie Norvet Personal Chef Service in Los Angeles, CA. Chef Norvet has had a passion for vibrant produce and cooking ever since she was a child. While helping her father garden and prepare ingredients for dinner, she fell in love with the purity, beauty and transformation of freshly picked ingredients.

Growing up in Los Angeles, Chef Norvet has been immersed in some of the most culturally diverse cuisine in The United States. In 2008, after years of creating meals for friends and family, she decided to take her passion for cooking to a professional level. By enrolling in California School of Culinary Arts (Le Cordon Bleu Program) in Pasadena, she gained valuable knowledge about cooking techniques, culinary culture, and professionalism in the culinary industry.

After graduating CSCA with honors, Chef Norvet put her new found knowledge to work as a prep cook in a local  seafood restaurant. Slowly she worked her way up the kitchen brigade to a lead line cook position in one of the most iconic Malibu restaurants. After years of working under world-class chefs in a fine-dining kitchen, Chef Norvet furthered her quest for knowledge by cooking for a large production Hollywood catering company. There, she learned how to prepare for and execute large private events without compromising quality, taste or presentation.

Simultaneously, Chef Norvet started work as a private chef for a private family in the Pacific Palisades. This is where her love for in-home meal preparation and private dinner parties began. Since then, Chef Norvet has created her own personal chef service that emphasizes the fresh, local produce she grew up adoring so much. When she is not experimenting with new ingredients and techniques or tasting the local cuisine, she is cooking for her clients which have become like family.

Personal Chef

Our service is a convenient and smart way to eat well, and a huge help to families, busy professionals, or anyone who does not have the time or knowledge to prepare they would like.

Are you strapped on time or tired of cooking? Looking to start a new type of diet? Have a specialized diet or nutrition plan? Know someone who is really picky? Tired of the same-old? We have you covered.

For each client or client family, we learn your preferences so we can create dishes tailored to your needs and desires. Your chef prepares a personalized menu plan once a week that you approve. This means you never have to pick the same thing twice (unless you want it again because it was so good), and you can endlessly substitute sides, sauces, proteins, etc. for something you really want.

Ditch the boring take-out and allow us to prepare a fresh, wholesome in your home kitchen.

Our private dinner service is fully tailored to the theme, ambiance, and tone of your event. Our job is to create a thoughtful, unique and memorable menu for you and your guests.

Your chef will collaborate with you on a custom menu that you think would be perfect for your event. We are every passionate about these events because those times sitting around a table enjoying a good meal with friends and loved ones, are the memories we take with us for years to come.

Each ingredient is hand-selected and inspected for quality and freshness by your chef on the morning or afternoon of each service.
